The Sinai Scholars Society is a new fellowship offered by Chabad at Columbia University in conjunction with Chabad on Campus National Foundation. This Fall 2009, 20 fellowship positions with stipends will be awarded.
Sinai Scholars Society offers a fresh and exciting context to experience Jewish life and learning on campus. It is an integrated program encompassing Torah study, social activities, and national networking opportunities that introduce students to the contemporary significance of the Jewish experience. Participants will have the chance to interact with other students across the country as well as distinguished figures from the world of business and public life as they engage in this unique prospect for Jewish self-discovery.
Courses present the living tradition of authentic Jewish scholarship. Important issues in modern life are addressed in light of ancient sources and give you a chance to find your voice in a discussion that stretches across three millennia. Intriguing, challenging, and sophisticated, the learning experience at Sinai Scholars Society draws you into the treasury of Torah study.
